Dana Clemmons Babbs

Dana Elizabeth Clemmons Babbs, 44, of Holly Springs, NC, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026. She was born on August 11, 1981 to John “Greg” and Nancy Graham Clemmons.

She attended Swansboro High School, where she played softball, graduated in 1999, and met her high school sweetheart and future husband, Nick. She continued her education at Meredith College, where she also played softball and earned her bachelor’s degree in 2003. She and Nick later married and were blessed with three beautiful children, Caleb, Easton, and Paisley, who were truly the light of her life. A devoted, kind, and loving mother, she found great joy in cheering on her boys at baseball games and being present for every moment of her children’s lives. She was the best big sister, always there for her brother, Jonathan, offering guidance with grace and love.

She loved her church, Mid-Way Baptist Church, and faithfully served through various ministries. She was especially passionate about her involvement with Samaritan’s Purse and looked forward each year to packing shoeboxes before the holidays. Her favorite place was the beach, where she cherished time spent with family and friends. Extremely creative with a keen eye for detail, she enjoyed making things for others and sharing her talents. She worked as a graphic designer before choosing to stay home to raise her children, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. Her favorite number was 21, and her favorite flower was tulips—simple details that reflected the beauty and joy she brought into the lives of those who loved her. She touched countless lives with her beautiful smile and comforting demeanor, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Dana is survived by her husband of 21 years, Nicholas “Nick” Babbs; children, Caleb, Easton and Paisley Babbs; parents, John “Greg” and Nancy Clemmons; brother, Jonathan Clemmons (Nancy Jo); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Lucinda Babbs; brother-in-law, Justin Babbs; aunt, Sandra Buller (Jeffrey); uncle, Fred Graham (Lupe); and cousins, Shannon Aumer, Erin McClain and Jennifer Prosser.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 19, 2026 at 11:00am at Mid-Way Baptist Church, 6910 Fayetteville Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 18, 2026 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund or to Samaritan’s Purse.
