Reverend Greg Jenks, Luke Mitchell, and Susan Hobbs will be officiating the service. At all other times, friends are kindly invited to visit the family residence at 908 Windrow Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603.
Dale's life was distinguished by his unwavering devotion to faith, family, and education. A 1966 graduate of Ledford High School in Thomasville, he went on to earn a degree in Engineering from North Carolina State University. He devoted 24 years of service to Carolina Power & Light (CP&L), where he served Raleigh, Aberdeen, and Hartsville, SC in the rate department.
As an alumnus of North Carolina State University, Dale was a passionate supporter of both the university's basketball and football programs. He was also a devoted follower of the Atlanta Braves. His enthusiasm for the sport was evident in his remarkable knowledge of player statistics, trades, and league developments, which he could recall with ease.
Dale possessed a distinctive passion for sports, a love that was clearly reflected in his family. His daughter, Crystal, shared this enthusiasm and excelled as a dedicated volleyball player in high school and college. Inspired by her involvement, Dale became a longtime official for middle school and high school volleyball matches. His legacy of athletic interest continued with his grandchildren, Sadie and Bentley, who are both actively engaged in sports. He especially cherished the daily phone calls from Crystal, during which she would share updates on their most recent games and accomplishments.
Dale was a devoted and active member of Holland's Church, where he found great fulfillment in participating in the Young at Heart (YAH) ministry and serving as a Sunday morning greeter alongside his wife, Kathy. He embraced life's joyful moments with enthusiasm, finding particular enjoyment in traveling to N. Myrtle Beach with Kathy, shagging, attending music concerts, and spending time with a close-knit group of friends. During family vacations to N. Myrtle Beach, Dale treasured spending quality time with his daughter, Crystal, and her family-delighting in beach days with his grandchildren, Sadie and Bentley, and ending the evenings with a friendly game of putt-putt and an ice cream treat.
Dale had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, often spending hours on his tractor or tending to his garden. He took pride in cultivating a variety of tomatoes, especially Goliaths, and could often be called a daylily enthusiast.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Bouldin, his daughter Crystal Bouldin Barnes (Doug and children, Sadie and Bentley Barnes), and step-daughter Heather Brock (Wesley and children, Hannah, Samantha, and Nathan Brock). He is also survived by a sister, Debbie Bouldin Gaillard (Jerry), and nieces, Jordan Gaillard Kareis (Greg and son Cooper), Cassidy Gaillard, and Mackenzie Gaillard Smith (Avery). A host of extended family and friends were all touched by his warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wilson Bouldin and Luretta Moore Bouldin.
