Coretta Owen Ball

Coretta Owen Ball, 69, passed away Tuesday. A native of Reidsville, NC, she is the daughter of Alice London Owen and the late William Lacy Owen. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Highland Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. She is survived by her husband, J.W. Ball; mother, Alice London Owen of Reidsville; sons, Scott Carter and wife, Tonya of Reidsville and Steven Carter and wife, Ginny of Garner; daughter, Michelle Carter Jackson and husband, Johnny Murphy of Reidsville; step-daughters, Wanda Emel and husband, Greg of Apex and Denise Harrison and husband, Andy of Raleigh; sister, Meryl Murphy and brother, Jimmy Owen, both of Reidsville; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, George Carter, Jr. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Thursday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
