Connie Stainback Briggs

MIDDLESEX - Connie Stainback Briggs, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

She was born in Halifax County, North Carolina on October 2, 1958. She graduated from Enloe High School in 1976. She spent many years working at Agri Supply, where she built friendships that lasted a lifetime. Even after retiring, she continued working part-time because she loved staying active and being around people. Connie had a natural way of making others feel welcomed and cared for, whether through her kindness, her honesty, or simply her presence. She enjoyed the simple things in life-spending time with her family, loving on her pets, and creating a home full of warmth and support. Connie was a devoted wife, a proud mother, and a deeply loving Nana. Her compassion, strength, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Timothy and Dorothy V. Stainback. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Tim Briggs; children, Brian Briggs (Stacy), Adam Briggs, and Amy Briggs; grandchildren, Haley Briggs, Drew Briggs, Jaxon Pounds, and Cameron Pounds; sisters, Renee Stainback (Steve) and Melissa D'Ambra (Francis); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She is also survived by her beloved canine companion, Buddy.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Raleigh, with burial following in Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
