Clyde Fenton Hurst Jr.

Clyde Hurst Jr. passed away Friday, February 27th. He was surrounded by the love of his family and leaves behind a legacy of service, strength, and devotion. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ella Mae Sauls Hurst and Clyde Hurst Sr., and his brother, Darrell Hurst.

Clyde proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. After leaving the military he continued a life of service by serving as a volunteer fireman in his community. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors in times of need. Above all, Clyde was a beloved member of his community who touched many lives through his kindness and steady presence.

He is survived by his caring and devoted wife, Betty, his loving sister, Cindy Howell; his daughters, Wendi Lada (Aaron), Mandi Arnette (Akili). He was a proud grandfather to Ashlie (Cody),Alexys, Chloe, Logan, Jaylin, and Olivia. He was blessed with a great-granddaughter, Hayden, who brought him immeasurable joy.

Clyde will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, veteran, and friend. His life was defined by service, love, and unwavering commitment to those around him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
