Christine Ann Thomas

Christine Ann Thomas, affectionately known as Chris, passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 69, surrounded by her family.

Christine was born on March 31, 1957, in Bowdon, England, to Allan and Audrey Gregory, both of whom preceded her in death. Growing up in England, she carried a lifelong love for her homeland, and above all, for the city of Chester, which she spoke of with such warmth and pride throughout her life.

On August 17, 1984, Christine married James Thomas, and the two shared 42 loving years together. She was an incredibly dedicated wife.

Christine trained and worked as a registered nurse, a profession she was proud of and skilled in. When she became a mother, being a stay-at-home mum was exactly what she wanted, and it gave her the greatest fulfillment. Her family was, without question, her first priority, and she poured her heart fully into raising and loving her children and, later, her grandchildren.

Christine had a love of dance, reading, music, and she was a very creative person. She was a true people person, warm and social, always the one who made sure a room felt like a party. She loved good company and enjoyed bringing people together, and she never missed a chance to enjoy a good time with the people she loved.

Christine is survived by her husband, James Thomas; her daughter Victoria Thomas and her husband David Brown, and their children Luke and Meredith Brown; her daughter Kate Thomas and her partner Daniel Baun, and their son Wyatt Baun; and her daughter Nicola Lamb and her partner Robert Dieguez, who are expecting their first child. She is also survived by her brother, David Gregory, and his wife Kim, whom she considered a sister and best friend, as well as her sister, Jan Tomlinson, and her husband Paul.

A private gathering to celebrate Christine's life will be held this week with close family and friends. A funeral service and burial will follow at a later date at the church in Cilcain, North Wales, where a portion of her ashes will rest among her family, while the remainder will remain here in the United States with the family she loved so deeply.

Christine will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, a woman whose love for her family knew no bounds, and whose kindness, laughter and connection touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, and forever loved.
