Charles Jeffrey "Jeff" Smith

RALEIGH - Charles Jeffrey "Jeff" Smith, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

He was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania on April 15, 1947, the son of the late Charles Raymond Smith and the late Virginia Reidt Smith.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 50 years, Frances Wylie Smith; sons, Tyler Reidt Smith and his wife, Robyn, and Blake Bunting Smith and his wife, Lauren; grandchildren, Charlotte Ives Smith, Merritt Marshall Smith, Quinn Wise Smith, and Wylie Philip Smith; brother, Kerry Smith; sister, Vicki Rollo and her husband, James; and a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Jeff's memory to a charity of your choice.
