Charles Powers

ANGIER– Charles Powers, 76, passed away on Saturday. A native of Robeson county, he was the son of the late Oliver Powers and Vera Fowler Powers. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM, November 27th at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, Angier. The burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 26th from 6:00-8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Angier. He is survived by his wife, Julia Prevatte Powers; daughter, Tara Smith and her husband Timmy of Angier; son, Kevin Powers of Angier; sisters, Brenda Taylor and husband, Frank of St. Pauls, Faye Harrell and husband, Bobby of St. Pauls; grandchildren, Tucker Smith, Taylor Smith, and Hannah Powers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Godwin; brothers, James Powers and Oliver Powers, Jr. Flowers are appreciated, or memorial contributions may be made to Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, 4440-A, Piney Grove Rd.
