Charles Wallace Morel, Sr.

Charles Wallace Morel, Sr., of Willow Spring, NC, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Charles was born November 25, 1957 to William Claude Morel, Sr. and Geraldine Hernandez Morel.

Charles was a loving husband, devoted father, and true sports enthusiast. He was known for his unwavering love of family and his hardworking spirit. For nearly 45 years, he and his beloved wife shared a bond built on devotion, love, and friendship. Together, they enjoyed every moment side by side-whether attending plays, spending time at the beach, or taking spontaneous weekend trips. A lifelong fan of Pittsburgh sports, Charles especially loved cheering on the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers. His passion for the game was only matched by the joy he found in sharing it with those he loved.

Above all, Charles will be remembered for the love he poured into his family, the dedication he brought to his work, and the memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of all who knew him

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Trickett Morel; sons, Charlie Morel, Jr. and Sean Morel (Cody Dawn); granddaughter and the apple of his eye, Raleigh Joanne Morel; sisters, Iris Wolfe (James) and Caroline Shay; and mother-in-law, Anna Kathryn Trickett.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his beloved son, Lee Morel; brother, William "Billy" Morel, Jr. and step-mother, Elva June Morel.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 1:00pm at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church, 8001 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Willow Spring, NC 27592. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, September 1, 2025 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.
