Charles Lee Baker, Sr.

GARNER-Charles Lee Baker, Sr., 79, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday. A good man, who believed in family, community, his country, and working hard to achieve the American dream. Mr. Baker lived an honest and humble life, as a loving husband, daddy, granddaddy, and will be missed by all. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Middle Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. He is survived by his son, Chuck Baker; daughters, Amy Bynum and husband, John, and Laura Costa; sisters, Nancy Reavis, Jean Jeffries, Shirley Carroll; brother, Garland Baker; grandchildren, Lee Baker and girlfriend, Bonnie Harrell, Charleigh Baker, Chanler Baker, Libby Bynum, Stephen Costa and Thomas Costa. He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Sauls Baker; parents, Wyatt and Myrtle Partin Baker; sister, Marie Ashworth and brothers, Ronald and James Baker. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
