Charles H. Hagwood

Charles Herbert Hagwood, 78, died Monday at his home. A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Charles Rudolph Hagwood and Vivian Owens Hagwood. Mr. Hagwood was a conductor with Norfolk Southern Railroad prior to retirement. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Graveside service will be private. Survivors include his son, Michael Hagwood and wife, Margaret; sisters, Judy Jones and husband, Thomas, Ruth Owen and husband, John, Cynthia Dedrick and husband, Robin and Rose Mary Lyerly and husband, Hollis; brother, James Hagwood and wife, Jackie, as well as 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Kay M. Hagwood; sons, Richard, David and Jeffrey Hagwood; brother, Allen Hagwood.
