Carol J. Whitaker

GARNER- Carol Johnson Whitaker, 72, passed away on Sunday at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh. Born in Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Brussell and Wilma Weaver Johnson. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Wednesday at Fellowship Baptist Church, Raleigh. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:15 pm prior to the service at the church. Survivors include her daughter, Rita Bryant of Knightdale; son, Ken Whitaker of Raleigh; sisters, Ann Jones of Raleigh, Vickie Johnson of Oxford; grandchildren, Grayson and Holly Bryant both of Knightdale; niece, Missy Jones of Raleigh. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Johnson and a niece, Michelle Jones.
