ANGIER - Carey Weldon Ellis died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Brookfield Assisted Living in Lillington, NC after a courageous battle with cancer.A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Joe Greene officiating.Family will receive friends on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 6:00 -8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier, NC.He was preceded in death by his wife Clara Mae Hayes Ellis in 1990.Surviving are daughters Sue Evelyn Ellis and Carol Ellis, both of Sanford, NC; Clara Ann Christensen and husband John of Jeffersonton, VA; son William Ellis of Florence, KY; granddaughters, Linsey Ellis and Abigail Christensen.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607-6372 (919-828-0890) Online donations may be made at www.hospiceofwake.org.
