Brenda Kay Ward

BENSON – Brenda Kay Ward, 73, passed away on Friday. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Raleigh. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Brenda is survived by her children, Wayne Hawkins, of Clayton, Ted and wife, Jae Hawkins, of Raleigh, Tammy and husband, Arnold, of Garner, Kelly and husband, Matthew Kennedy, of Angier; sister, Gail Hilliard, of Benson; grandchildren, Michael Nowell, of Raleigh; Will Jenkins, of Alabama; Jordan Hawkins, of Four Oaks; Noah Capps, of Angier; Chase Hawkins, of Raleigh; Dylan Hawkins, of Florida; and Courtney Jackson, of Raleigh. Amy Nowell, of Clayton; Courtney Jenkins, of Garner; Lindsay Ham, of Angier; Kerrie Hawkins, of Clayton; and LaToya Jackson, of Raleigh, as well as sixteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Larkin Holt and Ruby Holt, as well as her siblings, Margie Hinson, Toby Holt, W.A. Holt, and Carol Scott.
