Bobby Bridges

Bobby Earle Bridges, 78, of Henderson, NC, passed away peacefully at home on May 31st, 2026. Born in Burlington, NC on February 7, 1948, Bobby was an electrician by trade and retired in 2008 from Cotton, Inc., as Manager of Textile Laboratory Facilities. Bobby enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and cherished his life at Kerr Lake. A talented musician, he loved playing his guitar and Bluegrass music; he also enjoyed working on old cars and tinkering in his garage.

In addition to his parents, Clifton Tolar Bridges and Sara Erleen Bridges, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Roger Bridges; sister Barbara Bridges Watkins; and JoAnn Bridges Canady.

He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Bonnie Truelove Bridges, and son Brandon Mitchell Bridges; sister Dianne Howard (David); sister Peggy Jones (Mac); brother James Michael Bridges (Doris); sister Dona Thomas (Tink).

Visitation will be Monday, June 8, from 6-8 P.M. at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home (located at 1200 Benson Rd., Garner, NC). Services will be held at the same location on Tuesday, June 9, at 12:30 P.M. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh, NC.
