Bob Balkcum

Bobby Ray Balkcum, 64, died on Monday after a battle with cancer. He was a 1972 alumni of East Carolina University and obtained a graduate degree in finance. He spent the majority of his career as Director of Human Resources at Tipper Tie in Apex, NC. Funeral services will be Saturday 3:00 pm at Raleigh Memorial Park Chapel with entombment to follow. The family will receive friends at the chapel one hour prior to the service. Survivors include his son, Scott Balkcum; his fiancé, Debbie Childress; sisters, Gail Marchelletta and Cindy Cottle.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Waylon and Jeanette Balkcum and his daughter, Michelle Balkcum Keen.
