Betty Stuart Martin, age 78, of Fuquay-Varina, NC died on Monday, June 1, 2026, in Wake-Med Cary Hospital. She was born on June 10, 1947, in Wake County, NC to the late Leo and Clyde Stuart.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Ray Martin; her son, Ron Barnette and his wife, Lisa; her sister, Vickie Giles and her husband, Jimmy; her grandchildren, Kellyrae Barnette, Dawson Barnette, Chris Barnette and Steve Garner; and her great-grandson, Dylan Barnette.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Stuart.

Her memorial service will held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 11:00 am in Kennebec Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the church until 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, Ray Martin kindly requests that donations be made in memory of his beloved wife, Betty, to Hounddawg Washtub. If you knew Betty, you knew she was devoted to and passionate about her furbabies. Hounddawg Washtub was a cause close to Betty's heart.
