Betty Holley Boyette, 90, of Garner, North Carolina, originally from Four Oaks, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished family memories.
Betty was a woman of strong faith, a generous heart, and a spirit that was truly one of a kind. She was devoted to her church and her family, finding her greatest happiness in life's simple blessings, especially having her loved ones gathered together.
Betty loved to cook and bake, and nothing made her happier than having family over for supper. She was especially known for her fried chicken and the delicious homemade treats she lovingly prepared. Her home was a place where everyone was welcome, no one left hungry, and love was always served in generous portions. The meals she prepared were about so much more than food - they were about family, togetherness, and making memories that would last a lifetime.
To know Betty was to love her. She was one of the sweetest ladies you could ever meet, with a kind heart and a caring nature. But don't let that sweetness fool you - Betty had a little fire in her, too! She was strong-willed, wasn't afraid to speak her mind, and certainly wasn't one to let anyone push her around. That wonderful combination of sweetness and spunk was part of what made her so special.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Boyette. While her passing leaves an emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her, her family finds comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with Joe, together again in the presence of the Lord.
She is survived by her sons, Joe Boyette (Karen) and Roger Boyette (Doris); her grandchildren, Joey, Crystal (Dave), Jennifer (Roger), Britt, Kelly, and Elizabeth (Robbie); and her great-grandchildren, Victoria (Remington), AJ, Damin, Mariyah, Har'leigh, David, Dalton, McKenzie, Clarity, Easton, Liam and Kason.
Though her family will miss her dearly, they will forever cherish the memories of her love, her strength, her faith, and the countless meals and moments shared together. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved so fiercely and the traditions she created.
Betty leaves behind more than memories. She leaves behind a family who knows the meaning of unconditional love, a supper table that will never feel quite the same without her, and a lifetime of lessons in kindness, faith, and standing up for yourself.
Her hands prepared the meals, her heart made everyone feel at home, and her love will remain with her family forever. Though she will be deeply missed here on earth, there is comfort in imagining her smiling once again beside Joe, reunited in their heavenly home.
A memorial service will take place at Mt. Herman Christian Church in Garner on Saturday, November 7th, at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends and family an hour prior to the service, at 1:00 PM.
