Betty Alexander

MAY 28, 1949 - MARCH 15, 2011 BENSON -Betty Alexander, 61, went home to her Savior, Tuesday at her home. Born in Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Paul Everett McElhaney and Rose Foster McElhaney. A celebration of her life will be 4:00 pm Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church, 7900 Ten-Ten Road, Raleigh, NC 27603. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Richard Alexander; daughters, Rebecca Hargraves and husband, Steve of Benson, Cindy Patrick and husband, Nathan of Raleigh and Michelle Alexander of Willow Spring; sisters, Nancy Hall of KY and Janice Hunt of OH; brothers, Paul McElhaney of OH and David McElhaney, of TN; grandchildren, Lisa, Ashley, Adam, Austin, Jon, and Drew Patrick, and Kayla and Alex Hargroves; great-grandchild, Emilee Patrick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Alexander, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Churchs Childrens Department, 7900 Ten Ten Road, Raleigh, NC 27603.
