Bettie Hart Adams, 91, passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2025. A native of Harnett County, she was born on December 5, 1934, and was the daughter of the late David Glenn Hart and Estelle Parker Hart.
In addition to her parents, Bettie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clinton Loyd Adams; son, Halford Glenn Adams; brothers, Julian David Hart and Franklin Delano Hart; sisters, Minnetta Hart Morgan and Glenda Hart McLeod, all of whom she loved very dearly.
Bettie was a loving mother, and grandmother. Early in her life she met and married her great love and best friend, Clinton Adams, spending 61 memorable years together. Proper to her core and always the picture of a lady, Bettie still carried the toughness of her farm-raised beginnings. She and Clinton found great joy in square dancing and could be found every Monday night dancing with the Angier Twirlers. Through their love of square dancing, they enjoyed many years of travel, friendship, and shared adventures along the way. Her greatest pride was her family, and her greatest gift was the steady love she gave so freely. Her life was well lived, deeply loved, and will be long remembered.
Bettie is survived by her loving sons, William Clinton Adams and wife, Tammy; David Michael Adams and wife, Lori; grandchildren, Chad, Malissa, Jessanna, Brittany, Cassie, Kristen, Jonathan, Webb, Lane, and Garett; and great grandchildren, Shelby, Walter, Lucy, Finn, Max, Mary-Halford, Molly-Glenn, Maple, Navy, Kenley, Layton, Waylon, Carson, Tripp, Axel, Austin, Porter, and Olive.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Angier Baptist Church, 155 S. Hickory Street, Angier, NC 27501. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM before the service. Burial will follow after the service at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, 2712 Oak Grove Church Road, Angier, NC 27501.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bettie's memory to Falcon Children's Home Inc.
