Athala Peede Andrews, 89, of Fuquay-Varina, passed into the arms of our lord on July 4th, 2025. Born in Johnston County on February 8, 1936, to the late David Banks Peede and Sally Mozelle Pixley, she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Athala is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Joe Andrews; daughter, Teresa Andrews; grand-daughter, Amy Myatt-Smith; sister, Cathrine Coats; and brother, John David Peede.

Athala was deeply empathetic and always put the needs of those close to her before her own. Every Christmas, she could be found in the kitchen making sure everyone was fed; when someone got sick, she was there to make sure they were cared for.
