Arthur Seaman

Arthur Robert Seaman, a resident of Angier, North Carolina, passed away on January 13, 2026. Born on August 29, 1940, Art lived a full and meaningful life marked by devotion to family, service to others, hard work, and a love of adventure.

Art was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He married his best friend and the love of his life, Dorothy Dudley Seaman, and together they shared a life filled with laughter, travel, and deep family bonds. Known as a true jokester, Art had a quick wit and seemed to know a little something about everything. He loved being around people and never met a stranger.

A lover of the outdoors and western traditions, Art enjoyed trick roping and riding horses. He proudly served his community for many years as a volunteer fireman with Raritan Township, New Jersey, dedicating himself to helping others.

Art began his working career as an electrician before joining the family business, Far Packaging Company, in 1980. He worked there until his retirement in 1995, valuing the opportunity to work alongside family.

Retirement brought Art and Dorothy many joyful years together. They played golf nearly every day and traveled extensively to attend their grandchildren's sporting events. In later years, they discovered a shared passion for motorhome travel, journeying throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada with Adventure Caravans, where they formed lifelong friendships and treasured memories.

Art is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Dudley Seaman; his children, Sheri Schwietering (Glen) and Art Seaman (Linda); and his stepchildren, Ray Ennis, Randy Ennis (Shelly), Ronnie Ennis, and Robert Ennis. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ruth Seaman, and his sister, Janet Lightfoot.

In accordance with Art's wishes, no service or memorial will be held. Those wishing to honor his memory may make a donation in his name to Transitions LifeCare.
