Annie Aleane Lewis

Annie Aleane Barefoot Lewis, 76, of Willow Spring, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021. A native of Sampson County, Annie was born November 15, 1944, daughter of the late Dewey Barefoot. Annie was a longtime employee of Dorothea Dix Hospital, before retiring. She was a member of Haven Free Will Baptist Church. More than anything, Annie loved her family. Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 2:00PM, at Haven Free Will Baptist Church, 5408 Tryon Rd. Raleigh, NC 27606. Annie is survived by her daughter, Lisa Garner; grandchildren, Patrick Garner and Jennifer Williams Ployd; great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Madelyn; sister, Virginia Pleasant; aunt, Alice Barefoot; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Lewis; son, James Williams; son-in-law, Jonathan R. Garner; and a brother, Denny Barefoot.
