Anna Louise Daulton, 95, of Garner, passed away peacefully into the arms of the lord on July 1, 2025. Born on June 8, 1930, to the late Robert Jay Daulton and Fay Anna Rouse in Pulaski County, Kentucky, she will be sorely missed.
In addition to her parents, Louise is preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Stano, and her beloved grandson Tucker Bishop.
Louise is survived by her brother, David Daulton; loving daughters, Nancy Claggett (Stephen), Sara Bishop (Bus), and Elizabeth Wong (Ed Elms); son, Howard Eastham (Julie); grandchildren, Emma and Katy Claggett, Erin Bishop, Hart Eastham, and Isabella Wong; great-grandchildren Caroline Gehret, Lucy Dame, and Sheppard Dame.
For most of her life, Louise was a mother and homemaker who kept a lovely, orderly, but welcoming home, who prepared unfailingly delicious meals, who befriended dozens of deserving dogs, and who made sure her children were healthy, clean, well-fed, and surrounded by books. After those children became adults, she was free to do something she always longed for: travel. The next decades found her in Central and South America, Europe, North Africa, Scandinavia, and China. As her mobility decreased, her travel became less expansive, but she was still able to travel to her beloved California and Hawaii.
The family thanks the caring and loving staff of Cadence Assisted Living of Garner, the amazing staff at Wake Medical Center, and the folks at Hayes-Barton Baptist Church, especially Dr. David Hailey, whose television ministry reached her when she could not physically reach them.
The family will be holding a celebration of life at a later date.
