Alton “O. A.” Champion

Alton (O. A.) Nathaniel Champion, Jr., 78, passed away on February 25, 2017. O. A.  proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. There will be a Graveside service at 2:00 PM Thursday March 2, 2017 at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, with Military Honors. Along with his parents Alton Sr., and Mamie Smith Champion; he was also preceded in death by his wife Michelena “Marie” Champion; daughter Pamela Therese Cole and a sister Lillie Mae Hawley. He is survived by daughter, Wendy Champion; sister, Mary Morris; brothers, Aaron Champion, James Andrew Smith and Donald Ray Champion; six grandchildren, Jamie, Toni, Faith, Rachelle, Thomas and  Kasey and seven great-grandchildren, Meredith, John, Luke, Peyton, Lola, Preston and Charlie.
