Alice Price King

Garner - Alice Price King, 89, passed away on Thursday. Alice, known affectionately as “Granny” to everyone, retired as a proud employee of over 30 years from Dorthea Dix Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 12:00 PM at The Temple of Pentecost, Raleigh.  Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the church prior to the service. Mrs. King is preceded in death by her husband Epp King; son, Ronnie G. King; daughter, Patricia Blake and great-grandson, Justin Blake. She is survived by her daughter, Billie Batts and husband, James; grandchildren Mark Batts and wife, Tabatha, Tommy Batts and wife Kim, Robbie Blake and wife, Lisa and Gerald Blake and wife, Susan; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.
