Albert Lee Newsome

CLAYTON - Albert Lee Newsome, 86, passed away on Wednesday. He was the son of the late Oscar Lafayette Newsome and Lou Aycock Newsome. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Newsome; sons, Albert Lee Buddy Newsome, Jr. (Jackie) and Larry Newsome (Rebecca); brothers, Joe Newsome (Rachel) and William Newsome (Faye); five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Newsome. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Thursday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
