In Loving Memory of Alan Keith Johnson
November 13, 1961 - June 13, 2025

Alan Keith Johnson, a devoted father and grandfather, passed away on June 13, 2025, after a brave battle with congestive heart failure at the age of 63. He entered the eternal presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at peace, free from pain, and filled with joy.

Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, on November 13, 1961, Keith lived a life marked by unwavering faith, compassion, and boundless love. He was a devoted father and grandfather, whose greatest joy was spending time with his family-going bowling, sharing laughs, telling stories, and soaking up every precious moment.

He is survived by his daughter Leigh Lamotta (Nick), his son Steven Johnson (Makenzie), and his beloved grandchildren: Jack, Sean, and Sira Lamotta, Riley Johnson, and Emma Medeiros. He loved them fiercely, supported them proudly, and delighted in their growth and joy. He is also survived by his two brothers, Craig (Marilyn) & Todd (Polly) Johnson, along with many nieces and nephews.

Keith's faith in Jesus was the foundation of his life. He shared the Gospel with a gentle spirit and a heart full of grace. Known for his positivity, infectious smile, and encouraging words, Keith never met a stranger. He enjoyed listening deeply, prayed sincerely, and made everyone feel seen and valued.

And, of course, Keith was an avid Duke Blue Devils basketball fan. March Madness was practically a sacred season, and you could count on him cheering from the couch, with some good-natured yelling at the refs. Heaven surely has a front-row seat with his name on it.

Keith's passing leaves an ache in our hearts, but also a deep sense of gratitude for the life he lived and the love he gave. His legacy-rooted in faith, kindness, and connection-will live on in all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Oakwood Cemetery.
