William “Robert” Tart

GARNER – William Robert Tart, 80, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late James and Lola Tart. After 50 ½ years of service, he retired from CC Mangum. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at Garner Advent Christian Church. Burial will be 2:30, Friday at Bass Family Cemetery, Clinton, NC. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Clara B. Tart; daughter, Deborah Boatwright and husband, Leslie; son, Steve Tart and friend, Crystal; grandson, Brandon Boatwright and wife, Charley; granddaughter, Brandi Smith and husband, Chris; great-granddaughters, Nicole Smith and Riley Boatwright; brothers, Billy Tart and Lewis Tart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Dolly Hairr; brothers, James E. Tart, Melton Tart and Estel P. Tart, as well as his great-grandson, Zachary William Smith. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
