William Paul Holbrook

William Paul Holbrook, 84, died Monday at his residence.  He was a retired chemical engineer with Kaiser Aluminum.  He also retired as executive director with The American Ceramic Society.  William was a US Marine veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his wife, Jean Candedo Holbrook; sons, Danny Alan Holbrook of Columbus, OH and Curtis Lee Holbrook of Southport, NC; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Kemper Holbrook. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at Saint Andrews United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 – 2:00 pm prior to the service.  Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Andrews United Methodist Church, 1201 Maxwell Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603.
