Timothy Earl Stainback

Raleigh—Timothy Earl Stainback, 86, passed away on Friday, December 14. Tim was a Christian man and believer in God, He was devoted to his wife and children. He loved working and playing the piano. After serving in the US Air Force, he had several different jobs and his favorite was building stained glass windows for churches. Later he worked for the US Postal Service until he retired. He continued working for Stained Glass Associates in Knightdale after retirement. Tim is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Dorothy Stainback; three daughters, Renee Stainback and her spouse Steve Jarjabka, Connie Briggs and her spouse Timmy Briggs, and Melissa DAmbra and her spouse Francis DAmbra; six grandchildren, Brian Briggs, Adam Briggs, Amy Briggs, Sarah DAmbra-Kopp, Madeline Thompson, and Delia DAmbra; five great-grandchildren, Haley Briggs, Jaxon Pounds, Cameron Pounds, Drew Briggs and Aria Thompson; two brothers, Robert Stainback and his spouse Barbara Stainback, of Raleigh, and Joe Stainback of Elm City, NC; four sisters, Charlotte Baker and her spouse Paul Baker of Creedmoor, NC, Lois McIntyre of Wilson, NC, Faye Rathbun of Wilson, NC and Gail Baird of Pleasant Hill, NC. Tim will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. There will be a visitation at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road from 10 until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, followed by funeral services at Historic Oakwood Cemetery Mausoleum at 11:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607..
