Theron “Ted” Plum

Theron “Ted” Plum, 80, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. A native of New Brighton, Pa., he was the son of the late Theron and Mary Porto, Plum. Ted worked as a manager for an engineering instrument society for many years. He also proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marines. Ted was a 1972 graduate of Marquette University. There will be a Memorial Service Friday Nov. 8, at 11:00 AM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, in Spring Lake, N.C. at a later date. Ted is survived by his wife Rita Jordan Plum; children, Daniel Plum and wife Joy, Kristin Struchen and husband Tom, Alex Plum, and wife Sara, Nicholas Plum and wife Maria, Diana Gilliam and husband Sir John; sister, Marion Mulik and husband Jim, and brother John Malicci and wife Sara; and seven grandchildren, Tate and Kendall Struchen, Valerie and Luke Plum, Lily Plum, Blake Gilliam, and Andrew Plum.. The family will receive friends and relatives after the service.
