Stella Stancil Fish

Stella Stancil Fish, 74, of Raleigh passed away early on the morning of March 11 th , 2024, at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh, NC, after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Sampson County to the late J.H. “Buddy” Stancil and Cleo Lee Stancil. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Clifton Stancil and Henry Stancil; sister Faye Tart.

She is survived by her loving husband Vernon Fish; sons, Patrick Fish and wife, Kelley of Raleigh and Scott Fish and wife, Crystal of Angier; sisters, Kay Neighbors of Dunn and Barbara Wheeler and husband, Otha of Dunn; grandchildren, Tori Daughtridge, Hayden Fish, Hadleigh Fish, Harrison Fish, Avery Fish, Elizabeth Fish, and Kayla Capps; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Stella worked most of her life as a cosmetologist and volunteered at various organizations and fundraisers.

Stella never liked being the center of attention and per her wishes there will be no services.
