Robert B. Bob Lloyd

Raleigh - Robert B. Bob Lloyd, 91 of Raleigh died Friday after several years of declining health. He was born in Wake County to the late Willie L. Lloyd and Nannie Elizabeth Wilson Lloyd and a retired chemist with Corning Corporation. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U S Army in Europe and was a dedicated faithful member of Hayes Barton Baptist Church for many years. He is survived by his son, Stacy Miller and his wife, Faye of Raleigh; daughter, Daisy Lowery and her husband, James of Raleigh; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera H. Lloyd, nine brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM Monday, August 27, 2012 at Hayes Barton Baptist Church. The family will receive friends in the church parlor one hour prior to the service. A family interment will be held at Raleigh Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. James S. Parsons for his wonderful and kind care and also to the Oaks of Mayview.
