ANGIER- Richard Raymond Thompson, 72, of 8500 Hwy 55 S, passed away Wednesday at Wake-Med, Raleigh.Graveside Service will be held Friday at 1:00 PM at the Kennebec Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Howard officiating.Surviving are his wife Sylvia W. Thompson, their daughter, Kimberly Shay and husband Justin; children from a previous marriage, Crystal Frisby, Dion Thompson , Sue Thompson and Richard Thompson, Jr.; step-daughters, Angie Flowers Thomas and husband, Tracy ,Tracy Flowers Duke and husband, Roy and step-son, Donald Ray Flowers; brother, Jim Thompson and wife, Rogean twenty five grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Albert Smeal and Mary Thompson, he was predeceased by his son Brian Thompson and two grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 PMan Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier.
