Rachel Young Monday

WILLOW SPRING – Rachel Young Monday, 88, passed away on Sunday. A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Manly and Eva Smith Young. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30-1:30 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Graveside services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. Mrs. Monday is survived by her daughter, Jane Monday Stephenson of Angier; grandchildren, James David Stephenson, Jr. and wife, Tina of Fuquay-Varina, Samuel Howard Stephenson and wife, Janetta of Willow Spring; great-grandchildren, Katie Teator, Chandler, Alex , Liam and Logan Stephenson; sisters, Kay Frances Dupree, Ida Mae Chisenhall, Pearl McLeod and JoAnn Crowther; brother, William “Buddy’ Young and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, R. H. “Bubble” Monday in 1995; two brothers and two sisters.
