Nina Marie Russo

Clayton - Nina Marie Russo, 75, formerly of Newport, NC, passed away Monday. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home. At 7:30pm, there will be a special time of sharing. Survivors include her son, Christopher Atchison (Candace Clark); sister, Karen Kendall (Patrick Carter); nephew, John Kendall (Crystal); Great niece, Mia. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gussie Godwin; father, Jason Godwin and her husband, Joseph Russo. Nina enjoyed painting, taking trips to the mountains, collecting antiques and spending time with her son and family. She was instrumental in the care for her mother in the time before her passing. Nina was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.
