SGT Michael Patrick Mike Alexander, 63, a retired officer with the Raleigh Police Motorcycle Unit, died Friday. Born in Charlotte, he was veteran with the US Marine Corp. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at the PNC Arena, Raleigh. Burial, Montlawn Memorial Park with both Military and Police honors. Surviving: his wife of 31 years, Kim Black Alexander; sons, Sr. Chief Jay Alexander (Misti) of Norfolk, Va., Zachary Alexander (Jenna) of Willow Springss and Grant Alexander of Holly Springs; grandchildren, Ashland and Maddie Alexander and Chloe Alexander; sister, Kim Allen (Tony) of Angier; brother, Randy Huff (Renee) of Mooresville. He was preceded in death by his step father, Roger Huff. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made of the benefit of Grant Alexanders education at Campbell University c/o PNC Bank, 5208 Sunset Lake Road, Holly Springs, NC 27540.
