ANGIER - Lonnie “Steve” Honeycutt, 63, passed away on Saturday at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn. Born and raised in Fuquay-Varina, he is the son of the late Lonnie Honeycutt and Ms. Betty Hughes Honeycutt.
Steve was mentored by his uncles as a young adult in HVAC, and owned and operated Honeycutt’s Heat and Air for several years.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, June 30th at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow the service at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm prior to the service at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier.
In addition to his mother, Steve is survived by his sister, Helen H. Hairr of Angier; three nieces; and a nephew; as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his oldest sister, Glenda Sue Fuller; brother-in-law, Anthony Hairr; great-nephew, Austin J. Davis; and many other much-loved family members.
