Lena Grace Whitley

October 18, 1938 - March 9, 2012 Garner - Lena Grace Whitley, 73, went to be with the Lord March 9, 2012. A native of Wake County, Lena was born to the late Claudie and Lily Jones. She loved car racing, country music, and spending time with family and friends A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 11th at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home from 4-6PM. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 12th at 11:00 AM in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, Garner. Family and friends will then process to the Whitley Family Cemetery, in Wendell. Lena was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Kenneth M. Whitley, Sr. and daughter Gertrude L. Whitley. She is survived by her children, Kenneth M. Whitley, Jr. and his wife, Sandra, Thurman L. Whitley, Ann W. Hennis and her husband, Ronald, and Bobby W. Whitley, Sr. and his wife, Tammy; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a sister, Faye J. Puryear.
