Lawrence Samuel Guy, Jr.

Raleigh - Lawrence Samuel Guy, Jr., 88, died Wednesday. Born in Wake County, he was the son of the late Lawrence S. Guy, Sr. and Beatrice Jane Carter Guy. He was a veteran of the US Navy and retired with 36 years of service with Southern Bell. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday at Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Lera Pearce Guy; daughters, Pam Watkins and husband, Ray of Clayton and Sandy Furlough and husband, Charles of Garner; son, Mark Guy and wife, Jackie of Clayton; grandchildren, Jena and Haley Watkins, Crystal G. Yau, Daniel, Caleb, Grayson and Jacob Furlough and Karah Byrd; great-grandchild, Landon Watkins. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
