Landis W. Stephenson

FOUR OAKS-Landis Wayne “Fathead” Stephenson, 75, passed away Wednesday at his home with his family. A native of Johnston County, he was the son of the late Sherrill and Ruby Johnson Stephenson. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 16th at 1:00 PM in the Kennebec Baptist Church Cemetery, Angier. Although the family will not be present for a formal visitation, Mr. Stephenson will lie in state for public view from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Friday at Bryan-Lee, Angier. Landis is survived by his wife of 37 years, Brenda Williams Stephenson; son, Jeffrey Stephenson; step-son, Timmie Matthews and wife Cindy; granddaughter, Alexa Stephenson; grandsons, Sha Wilkins, A.J. Wilkins; step-grandson, Timothy Matthews; brother, Gary Stephenson and wife, MaryAnn; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Shannon Wilkins; and brother, Gene Stephenson.
