ANGIER – Virginia Kathleen “Kathy” Champion, 72, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Natt and Blannie Beatrice Allen. Kathy is survived by her husband, Larry Champion; son, Oscar Harold Brown, Jr. and family, Lisa (wife) and Caleb (grandson). Daughter, Sherry Corley and family, Wilson (husband), Andrew (grandson and family Melissa, wife, and great granddaughter Jemma), Adam (grandson and family Katie, wife, and great grandsons Jacen and Tyler), Sarah (granddaughter), and Judah (grandson with family Elizabeth and Noah, great grandchildren). Daughter, Blannie “Kitty” Romaguera and family, Austin Romaguera, III (husband), Ashley Stein (granddaughter and family, Marcus, husband, and great grandchildren Zoe and Marcus, Jr.), and Alyssa Ory (granddaughter); siblings Nancy Allen Bradley of Angier, Robert Thomas Allen of Baltimore, MD, Jenny Frances Allen of Holly Springs, Faye Allen Page of Fuquay-Varina and Neattie Phyllis Ellis of Durham. The family will receive friends Friday, September 3rd from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 3rd at 1:15 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Joe Dean and Natt Albert Allen, Jr.
