Joseph “Elbert” Adams

Joseph Elbert Adams, 85, passed away on Wednesday. A native of Harnett County he was the son of the late Everett O. and Nellie Young Adams. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Survivors include his son, Michael Joseph Adams of Angier; sisters, Jacqueline “Jackie” A. Smith, Nancy A. Hart and a brother, Rexwell Adams, Sr., all of Angier; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Penny Adams; a granddaughter, Kristin Lee Adams; sisters, Brookie A. Smith, Helen A. Stewart, Gail A. Gregory and Hazeleen A. Pleasant; brothers, Conrad, and Odell Adams. The family will receive friends Friday night 6:00 -8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier.
