Jerry Earl Sumner

Jerry Earl Sumner, 76, passed away Friday morning at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday at Garner Advent Christian Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30-1:30 prior to the service. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Brenda Sumner; daughter, Tracey Thompson; son, Scott Sumner (Cathy); four loving grandchildren, Trevor Thompson, Brooks Thompson, Logan Sumner and Jordan Little Bit Sumner; sisters, Hilda Burke and Linda Clifton (Howard); brothers, Bobby Sumner (Beverly) and Kenneth Sumner (Rita); and his adored sister-in-law, Carolyn Sumner.Flowers are appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
