Janice Lee Carr

Okeechobee – Janice Lee Carr died August 9, 2023. She was born June 17, 1938 in Raleigh, North Carolina to Molten Hales and Rosa (Beasley) Hales. A resident of Okeechobee, Florida, she was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and crafting.

Mrs. Carr was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Carr; son Edward E. Carr, Jr; parents, Molten and Rosa Hales; grandparents, Brance and Mamie Beasley; brother, Raymond Hales; and daughter-in-law, Penny Carr.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald Carr, Jamie Carr (Diana), and Steven Carr (Vicki); daughter, Lisa Esposito (Richard); fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; brothers, James Hales and Millard Hales; and sisters, Shirley Jones, Judi Curtis and Debbie Nipko.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, August 17th at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh.
