James C. Jimmy Whitaker

GARNER - James Jimmy Whitaker, 59, passed away Saturday at Wake Medical Center. A native of Mecklenburg County, he was the son of the late Edgar Clayton Whitaker, Sr. and Margaret Rodgers Whitaker. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday May 1, 2013 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his brother, Mike Whitaker and wife, Shirley of Wendell; 3 nieces, 3 nephews, and 8 great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jimmy is predeceased by his brothers, Edgar C. Whitaker, Jr. and Anton Tony Whitaker, sister, Nancy W. Currin. Family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday 6-8 PM.
