Helen Hobby Britt

Helen Hobby Britt, 88, retired employee with Western Electric, died Tuesday. A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Thomas Hobby, Sr. and Blanche Johnson Hobby. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include her daughter, Jane Mullins and husband, Wayne; son, Bill Britt and wife, Kristine; sister, Minnie Langley and husband, Thelbert, all of Raleigh; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Britt; sisters, Virginia Dudley, Evelyn Powell, Clara Ennis and Kaye Hobby; brothers, Thomas Hobby and Gerald Hobby and her grandson, David Britt. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Thursday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
