Grace G. Beaman

Garner - Grace Beaman, 90, passed away peacefully at home, after an extended illness. Grace was born January 27, 1930, to James and Elizabeth Gardner, in Walstonburg, N.C. She attended Walstonburg School and Atlantic Christian College (Barton College) before marrying her husband of 67 years, Arthur Beaman, until his death in 2015. Grace worked in North Carolina State Government, primarily with the State Auditor’s Office, where served as Deputy State Auditor until her retirement. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Montlawn Memorial Park. In addition to her parents and her husband, Grace was preceded in death by her son, Gerry Beaman. She is survived by her daughter, Laura, her son Keith (Sara Frances), her grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Beth Anne, and Brian, and her great-granddaughter, Kennedy.
