Gladys Oconney Cooper

GARNER- Gladys Mae O’Conney Cooper, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at the Laurels of Forest Glenn in Garner. A native of Pitt County, she was the daughter of the late Swift and Nishie Hardy O’Conney. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday in the common area of the Chadwick Apartments, 305 East Garner Rd. Garner, NC 27529. Gladys is survived by her great-nieces, Elizabeth Miller of Huntsville, AL and Nisha Ready of Vidor, TX. In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband in 1991, Charles Avon Cooper.
